NEEDED: Adult female and male actors

REHEARSALS: Evenings and weekends March 22st through March 29th

· Pet Names will rehearse twice, plus the March 31st run through

· Lucy Dreaming will rehearse four times, plus the March 31st run through

Rehearsal for entire SWAN Day line-up: March 31st 11:30 am- 2:30 pm

SHOW: March 31st 3 pm- 5 pm at Dayton Metro Library Auditorium

* Casting adult female and male actors for short plays Lucy Dreaming and Pet Names.

* Lucy Dreaming is produced by Zoot Theatre Company & directed by Stacey Lane &Tristan Cupp.

* Pet Names is produced by Stacey Lane & directed by Dara Cosby.

* AUDITIONS ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY

* Please contact SwanDayDayton@yahoo.com for a ten-minute audition time slot and script sides. Specify whether you want to audition for one or both shows.

* Auditions will consist of reading sides (for both Lucy Dreaming and Pet Names) and a group mask/movement activity (only for those auditioning for Lucy Dreaming)

* SWAN Day Dayton is a non-profit volunteer event to celebrate Ohio’s diverse female artists. This is a labor of love. Unfortunately, there is no pay for anyone involved. The show is free.

Lucy Dreaming (8 minute experimental play)

Lucy 1: The predominant thought process of an insomniac: (Female: 20-50)

Lucy 2: That persistent little voice of dread in the back of her mind

(2-4 actors of any age and gender will be cast for this Greek chorus-esque role with

masks and puppets)

Lucy Dreaming explores the psychological landscape of that place between awake and asleep utilizing Zoot Theatre Company’s signature style of puppet and mask movement storytelling.

Pet Names (2 minute comedy)

Brenda: The wife (Female: 20s-40s)

Nelson: The husband (Male: 20s-40s)

A doting couple attempts to capture the perfect picture of their little darling on the Easter Bunny’s lap at the mall.
